I just wanted to say hello and express a much belated thank you for being an inspiration and role model!! I was looking at your website and excited to see that you are still in practice and providing your expertise to those in need. I have often found myself telling the stories of Jeff Mannheimer who I witnessed in 1985/86? standing up in the State House in Trenton, NJ to advocate for PTs and denounce POPTS and who submitted a letter to the editor of PTJ calling for the advancement of our profession to the doctorate level years before most people even thought of this!
After 35 years of dissatisfaction and angst, I finally decided that I am too skilled of a therapist to work for someone else who does not share my respect for our profession and values. Like you have done, I am opening an out of network practice. I have built a following of patients here in Florida and I am looking forward to success. It was official this morning. I received my LLC documents from Florida and an EIN from the IRS. I am now the sole associate of Tidewater Physical Therapy Associates!!
Again, I just wanted to express my gratitude for having had the privilege of working with you and the inspiration you have given me.
