COVID-19 Office Updates
The following safety/preventive guidelines must be followed by all patients due to the current Pandemic (COVID-19) as required by the governor of New Jersey.
I as well as Jennifer are fully vaccinated and up to date on all boosters.
COVID-19 Office Procedure
Since my policy is to only treat one patient at a time and I do not have a receptionist, secretary, aide or assistant, the number of people in my office is usually limited to two (patient and myself) which therefore hinders additional exposure. The only instance when one other person will be in the office is unless a parent, spouse or significant other needs to accompany a new patient during the initial evaluation, which also requires the presence of my excellent scribe, Jennifer and/or if she is updating my lecture presentations and/or participating with a research project.
My office is in on the ground floor of a free-standing small building without a hallway and composed of only one room with a separate bathroom that minimizes additional exposure.
I always wear scrubs at the office that are changed each day. Please note that a necktie is the item of clothing that has been shown to contain the most bacteria!!
Upon entering the office, I will ask you if you are fully vaccinated.
You will need to complete a questionnaire related to the presence of any possible Covid-19-related symptoms.
I will then check your temperature via a forehead thermometer and ask you specific questions about your health status as noted below:
When you arrive for your scheduled appointment please do not enter the office if you see a RED paper on the glass door, which means that I am treating or talking to another patient.
Please stay outside away from the office entrance or wait in your car until the patient leaves at which time I will remove the RED paper and you can enter.
Remember to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or the inside of your elbow whenever you cough or sneeze.
Treatment table paper and supine + prone pillow covers are changed after each patient.
The prone face pillow and forearm supports are also swabbed down with sanitizing wipes after each patient use.
You Must Call or E-Mail to Cancel and Re-Schedule Your Appointment Due to Any of the Following Factors:
If you, a relative or close friend have one or more of the following symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, breathing difficulty, vomiting, diarrhea, headache or region of muscle discomfort that is different from that which you have been receiving treatment) you must call me to explain, which may necessitate re-scheduling your appointment.
If you have recently been out of the country within the past two weeks.
If you have recently been to a town or city where there has been an outbreak of COVID-19.
If you have been at a gathering of friends or family within the past two weeks in which one or more people have developed any symptoms of COVID-19.
If you have recently been at any event or meeting with a large group of people.
Thank you very much for reading and abiding by the above guidelines and let me know if you have any questions.
